Lego Storage Containers

It's a constant effort to keep my grandsons Lego and Duplo bricks put away.  Not that I mind, but I like a bit of organization in their room.  I had purchased the large Lego Figure Head a while ago - read about it here -->>  Lego Bedroom Storage Solutions - and really like the way it keeps the larger and smaller pieces separated.  So when I saw more Lego organizers in TX Maxx just before the holidays, I decided to grab some so we could get some of the other blocks in Lego containers.

First there is the mini Lego Head.  We're keeping the Lego Minifigs in here.

It measures about 7 1/2" tall out of the box.

It looks like the big head but only has one central storage area instead of 3 that separate by the size of the bricks.

Here's the size comparison with the bigger container.

The little guy sits on top easily but they don't interlock like the Lego Bricks do.  He's just balanced up there.

The store also had the big long 2 x 4 storage brick containers.  I went with 3 primary colored ones.  These are being used to keep the Duplos.  They aren't organized in any way, just dumped in. It's pretty easy for the kids to pick up after themselves this way.  Just toss the toys in the brick and close it up.

These are really big and hold a lot of Legos.  They each measure about 20" long x 10" wide x 6" tall.  If you're using them for regular sized bricks you probably only need one unless you're a big time collector.  We have a lot of Duplo bricks though and they take up quite a bit more space.  Some of theses are from my own kids toddler years.  And some are from the grandkids collections.

I like the way they look in the toy closet.  Nice and bright and Lego-y.  You can purchase these on Amazon of course if you don't see them at your local stores.  They also come in the smaller 1, 2, and 4 post configurations.  Lots of other colors too as well as black and white.  And these all interlock when you stack them, no matter which size you buy.  I recommend them for easy Lego organization.

I'm a Floridian by birth, a Certified Public Accountant by profession, and a toy lover by choice. I've been playing with toys for 55+ years now. I didn't have many toys of my own as a child but after having 4 kids, 3 step-kids, and 4 grand-kids I've seen and played with a lot of toys. I'm still playing with them every time I get a chance. I've started a doll collection and plan to incorporate a lot of doll information and reviews here, but you will find information on toys of all kinds and for all age groups. That includes adult collectors. I hope you enjoy your visit to Trying Out Toys.
