Fisher Price Little People have been favorites of preschoolers and their parents for generations.  These Little People themed Nativity Sets are the perfect toy for teaching toddlers about Jesus birth and the Christmas story.  It's a cute display for your Christmas decor too - one that the kids are welcome to touch.  The set above is the most recent and complete set, but there are others that can be added to enhance the display.  This set has a light up star and a musical feature that plays "Away in a Manger".  The figures included are Joseph, Mary, Baby Jesus, Angel, Three Wise Men, and various animals.

Here's a discontinued Little People Nativity Playset from 2008 that includes the 3 Wise Men and their traveling tents and animals. It's got scenery from Bethlehem for a backdrop.  These are getting increasingly hard to find.

Continue your large comprehensive Jesus in Bethlehem story with the Innkeeper and his wife.  There's space at the Inn but they turn Joseph and Mary away.  Another collectible set from the 2008 series.

And finally add the Fisher Price Little People Drummer boy to your collection.  There is a musical barn that plays the rum-pum-pum holiday song, a hay bale and more animals.  Imagine the entire set as part of your Christmas decor for years after they are lovingly played with.  These are timeless toys that will teach your children, grandchildren, and remind your guests about the meaning of Christmas.

I'm a Floridian by birth, a Certified Public Accountant by profession, and a toy lover by choice. I've been playing with toys for 55+ years now. I didn't have many toys of my own as a child but after having 4 kids, 3 step-kids, and 4 grand-kids I've seen and played with a lot of toys. I'm still playing with them every time I get a chance. I've started a doll collection and plan to incorporate a lot of doll information and reviews here, but you will find information on toys of all kinds and for all age groups. That includes adult collectors. I hope you enjoy your visit to Trying Out Toys.
