Lego Wall Decorating Ideas

Step one in a Lego bedroom decorating scheme is to pick a theme for the walls.

If you want to create a Lego kids bedroom masterpiece, you're going to need a plan. The best place to begin is on the walls. They are the biggest part of the room and you'll get the most bang for your buck by starting there. It's a good idea to choose a theme so you have a focus while shopping and give the room some unity. There are lots of Lego brick sets and many include posters, prints and decals in the style. Here are some ideas and tips for decorating your child's Lego bedroom walls.

Wall Decals Are A Good Alternative To Wallpaper

There are many categories of Legos nowadays and narrowing down a theme isn't easy.  They are all creative and colorful.  The best way to begin is to look at the Legos your child plays with.  Most often they collect one or two particular sets.  My grandsons like the Star Wars Legos.  But there are Batman, Indiana Jones, Ninjago, Sponge Bob, and many more.

I think Lego brick wallpaper sounds like a pretty good idea but in reality it might be pretty busy and overwhelm the room. A wallpaper border might be more effective.  These Wallmonkeys generic block graphics are the next best thing. They are peel and stick fabric paper wall decals that come in various sizes and configurations.  It's an easy way to give a child's room a big splash of primary color. And they come off easily which makes them perfect for a rental home or apartment.  Just peel them away from the wall and take them with you when you move.  Then put them right back up in your child's new room.

Posters in the Lego City or Creator group will liven up every wall in the bedroom.  This is a good idea when your child doesn't have a favorite Lego theme already chosen. It's a basic style around which you can add accents later if he or she begins to favor Ninja Turtles, Super Heroes, or Harry Potter, for example.

The fabric scroll posters are very popular.  They offer a way to mount the poster on a wall without buying an actual frame. There are lots of theme choices.

I've featured a few wall decor ideas that I found on Amazon.  That's my favorite place to shop because there is a huge selection and the prices are good.  I'm an Amazon Prime member so I get free shipping so I end up ordering pretty much everything there.  There are lots of other places to shop for wall prints and decorations.  For example All Posters has a variety of designs also.  Get your childs opinion when redecorating in order to make the choices that he or she will love living with.

I'm a Floridian by birth, a Certified Public Accountant by profession, and a toy lover by choice. I've been playing with toys for 55+ years now. I didn't have many toys of my own as a child but after having 4 kids, 3 step-kids, and 4 grand-kids I've seen and played with a lot of toys. I'm still playing with them every time I get a chance. I've started a doll collection and plan to incorporate a lot of doll information and reviews here, but you will find information on toys of all kinds and for all age groups. That includes adult collectors. I hope you enjoy your visit to Trying Out Toys.
